publish Command

Register or update a plugin or template listing on frame-master.com. This does not run npm publish.

📖 Usage

frame-master login
frame-master publish
frame-master publish --type plugin --category utilities
frame-master publish --draft
frame-master publish --dry-run

🔍 Detection

The command infers kind from package.json:

  • Plugin: name starts with frame-master-plugin-, or keywords include frame-master-plugin
  • Template: name starts with frame-master-template-, or keywords include frame-master-template

Pass --type plugin or --type template to override.

📦 Fields

Filled from the current directory:

SourceUsed for
package.jsonname, description, author, keywords/tags, homepage, peer frame-master range
git remote origin or package.json repositoryGitHub URL
README.mdlong description
QUICK_EXEMPLE.mdquick start (plugins)
CONFIG_EXEMPLE.mdconfiguration example

Category is required. Pass --category or pick one interactively.

Plugin versions still come from npm (or GitHub releases as a fallback). Template versions come from GitHub releases. Publish a package/release first, then run this command.

⚙️ Options

  • --type <kind> — plugin or template
  • --category <category> — Listing category
  • --draft — Save without publishing (published: false)
  • --dry-run — Print the payload and do not send it
  • --json — Print the API response as JSON
  • -h, --help — Show help

Default is published: true.

🔗 After publish

  • Plugin: https://frame-master.com/plugins/package/<id>
  • Template: https://frame-master.com/templates/package/<id>

The repository must be a personal GitHub repo whose owner matches your linked GitHub App. If the App is missing, the CLI prints the install URL and stops.
